Kawasaki Versus Honda

Back in 1970, Kawasaki had the nuts and the ability to call out Honda on the carpet in regards to drag racing performance. But, who the hell was Kawi kidding selling the 500 triple 2-stroke as having " ... smooth steady rpm's purring through the engine power bank." Surging and a light-switch power band I guess would not appeal to the CB750 riders.

Honda CBX Music

Incredible sounds form a 79 Honda CBX. Owner says the pipe is Akropovic. Not quote right - I assume its an Akropovic silencer mounted to a 6-1 CBX system. Regardless, sounds absolutely lethal.

Chrysler Styling and Fiat

We are finally getting a peek into Ma Mopar's long terms plans with Fiat.

Please, in the name of Lee Iaccoca, do not let any Fiat stylists even breath near the Dodge Challenger! Just look at this automotive abortion called the Fiat Qubo! Now we know what happened to all the Pontiac Aztec stylists who were fired over that mistake.

Why Cash For Clunkers Was A Failure

This program was a miserable failure as it only took 195 Pontiac Aztec off the road. They should have paid people $7K to get these things out of our sight ... talk about pollution.

Mopar Goes To The Moon

This is a great ad showcasing the 1968 Chrysler Corporation lineup. 1969 & 1970 was the pinnacle for the pentastar, but this lineup from 68 is not too shabby. Dig the auger screw marsh amphibian vehicle.

Ethanol Good or Bad?

This image illustrates two sides of an Ethanol debate (these Western Washington stations were about 100 miles apart). Ethanol free gasoline is needed for old cars / bikes, airplanes and just plain good fuel economy improvement.

Cash for Thumpers

It is disappointing that today for the highest levels of pro motorcycle motorsports there is a 4-Stroke hegemony. This is due to motorcycle OEMs pressuring sanctioning bodies to penalize or outright ban 2-Strokes as most of the OEMs were not selling 2-Stroke models. This has trickled down to the average consumer into more expensive to buy and maintain 4-stroke bikes.

So we need the Obama Administration to fix this. A Cash for Thumpers program should be launched to pay consumers $2,500 to trade in a 1990 and new four stroke bike for a current two stroke model. An extra $1,500 will be given for a person buying a new Maico. Here is racing as it should be:

Atomic Riesling

I do not know if this is Riesling or not, but given it is in Amador Country, it is probably a Barbera or a Zinfandel. Nonetheless, I wonder why wine from this vineyard does not advertise it is surrounding Rancho Seco ? Sulfites - that's for wimps - how about some Uranium. Too bad they could not keep this plant running ... all that natural gas and coal wasted.

On Any Sunday

Sometimes progress is bad and sometimes it is not. When you can go to Hulu.com and watch On Any Sunday for stinkin' free, that's progress. Enjoy!

Organic Gasoline

Organic gas, Kosher diesel? Sounds crazy. But today, this ad looks pretty nuts too? Lots of people are moaning and groaning about increased usage of ethanol causing food prices to go up.
Sugar Shortage? How about if we just cut back on consuming a few million tons of 7 Up and Coke a year? Its a win-win deal - cut back on the junk food, then we look better, then we live longer, then we can drive out hot cars & bikes for ever.
